DISTASIS

DISTASIS

Distasis - short for DImensional STASIS - is the name of the multimedia fanzine I publish and also the name of my former fiction archive. The current incarnation of this site contains links to writing related resources plus a redesigned, reengineered fiction archive.

My Writing

My fiction is mostly media based. It's suitable for all ages to read. My favorite variety of story is the crossover.

For those who've asked where some of my stories are, here's what's still available through public web archives. I also have links to some of my most recent stories that I've been adding to this web site. Plus, check out the information on my RSS feed if you want to be kept up-to-date on news about my latest stories.

Other stories are now accessible through the DISTASIS Fiction Archive. This is a private archive requiring an easily obtained password to access it. (See the link for more details.) I've been trying to figure out how to make stories in the archive more accessible to interested readers and still keep the benefits gained by switching to a private archive. Of course, I haven't found a way to do it. I've set up the XHTMLDesign mailing list for discussing fiction archive issues just like this one. If you'd like to get your two cents in on fiction archive design, feel free to share some ideas of your own. (There's more information on how to join the list below.)

Mailing lists for Writers

I currently have two writers' mailing lists. Both are open to all age groups to participate, so all writing sent to the list most be suitable for all ages to read. I also have a mailing list for discussing web design and media archive related issues.

Distasis - the 'zine

Issue #2 of DISTASIS, the all Pretender (and Pretender crossover) issue, is available. I am hoping to be able to continue printing new issues of DISTASIS, the multimedia 'zine, as long as interest in the 'zine and submissions continue. I still need several submissions for issue #3. If you'd like to find out more about availability of current issues or how to submit to a future issue, please check the submission guidelines.

Stories for All Ages

A list of where to find fiction suitable for all ages. I really haven't been adding a lot of new resources, probably because all I seem to run into these days is mainly adult fiction. Anyone still writing stories fit for any age group (not adult material, clean language, etc.)? If you have a web site or mailing list that fits this category or know of some good ones, feel free to join any of my mailing lists and share the information. I'll add new links as I get them. I'm always looking for good fiction resources suitable for all age groups and for new, positive or upbeat material to read (or beta read).

Writing Resources and More of My Writing

I'm slowly trying to separate my fan fiction related pages from my more general pages on writing. You can find other useful writing resources in the new writing section.
